Our Story

We at Davey Ministry are a group of family ordained ministers who enjoy bridging families together during their time of special moments. We provide officiating over house blessings, weddings, commitment ceremony, hand fasting, funerals or burial ceremony and motorcycle blessings.

We accept all faiths. Our guiding principle is simple: individuals are free to live their spiritual truth however they see fit, so as long as their beliefs and practices do not infringe upon the freedoms or rights of others. We believe that we are all children of God/ the Universe no matter your religion, background, denomination, race, gender, or age. We simply enjoy sharing in the special moments that bridge families and friends. We look forward to creating lasting memories for you and your family.

How can we service you?

Weddings

Vow Renewals

Any one of our ministers are able to legally officiate weddings. We are located in Bloomfield, New Jersey and serve North NJ, Central NJ and New York (excluding NYC).

Funerals

Any one of our ministers are able to officiate /solemnize funerals and honor loved ones who have passed on in North and Central New Jersey.

House Blessing

Our Ministers are able to perform"House blessings" (also known as house healings, house clearings,house cleansings and space clearing) which are rites intended to protect the inhabitants of a house or apartment from misfortune, whether before moving into it or to "heal" it after an occurrence.

All of our house blessings are done with sage, prayer and sprinkling of holy water. The anointing of entryways with oil can be requested as well. For many homeowners (new and current) it is a tradition that is done when you first move into your home (apartment, house, dorm room). For many families it provides a peace of mind. Our house blessings range from 30-90 minutes depending on the size of the home and duration of prayer you request.

Hand fasting/ Commitment Ceremony

Any one of our ministers are able to officiate your hand fasting in North and Central New Jersey. Handfasting rituals are great additions to tradition wedding ceremonies because of their cultural and historical background. This ritual can be performed as a betrothal, commitment ceremony, or engagement as well. In weddings this handfasting ritual may be performed before or after you exchange rings. There are variations of this customs that you would choose from that is just right for you.

Bike - Motorcycle Blessing

Any one of our ministers are able to officiate a bike blessing in North and Central New Jersey. All of our motorcycle blessings are done with prayer and sprinkling of holy water.
